The house on Rue Saint Jean

Our house is a two-minute walk from Rue Saint Jacques, the village’s pedestrianised street. Legend has it that the house is 350 years old. We haven’t been able to confirm it, but the architecture and building technique are typical of Provence. It has all the features you’d hope to find in a home in the South of France, but with all the modern conveniences. It was also once home to the world-famous actor and musician Jean Sarrus (b. 1945).

Classification

The house is 4-star according to In Auris classification “Le Classement Des Meubles De Tourisme”.

Layout

Behind the green door is the foyer, a laundry room and toilet, and a small bedroom with a double bed (140 cm). Upstairs are two more bedrooms. The larger one, 25 m², has a double bed (160 cm) and a fold-out bed (150 cm), plus an en suite bathroom with toilet. The smaller bedroom, 15 m², also has a double bed (160 cm), plus an en suite bathroom with toilet. At full capacity, the house can accommodate eight people. On the second floor is the big open-plan living room and kitchen, 42 m², with a kitchen table that seats eight. This is also where you go out on the terrace, 18 m², which has patio furniture, an awning and a charcoal barbecue.

Prices include electricity and gas. If you do not want to bring your own bed linens (bottom sheet 160 x 200) and towels the price is €15 per person. Then the beds are made when you arrive and we take care of the laundry when you leave. Final cleaning €140. Thirty percent of the rent must be paid within two weeks after booking. The remaining rent must be paid no later than two weeks before arrival. The deposit is €300. Tourist tax is added at € 3.05 / day and person (over 17 years). No pets allowed and no smoking indoors.
